If
you put a frog in a pot of cold water and gradually
heat
up the water, the frog (so it is said) will not see sufficient
incremental change to stimulate it to jump out. Eventually
it will be boiled alive.
The
business analogy is that organisations sometimes do
not
see gradual changes in the environment around them until it
is too late. An opportunity has been missed, competitors have
established themselves and decline follows.
The Fast Frog moves quickly to adapt to change and
seize opportunities. |
